Worthwhile Reads and Lovely Things

New spectacles.  Same old laundry pile.
Thanks so much to those of you who have been watching my YouTube videos and leaving kind words and comments and after last Friday's Simple Kids post, where I shared a bit of what has been going on in my life lately and explained why I've changed up my blogging and social media routine.  For those of you who don't read SK, here's the link to that post if you want to check it out.

You all really know how to make a blogger feel loved. Thank you!

Find of the week - Lego. Lots and lots of lego. We went to Brickworld and, yes, everything is awesome.  If there's one coming to your town and you've got a Lego maniac, you might want to check it out.

Books - I've had my nose buried in my knitting and haven't finished reading any books lately.

Blogs - My friend Tsh of the Art of Simple wants to hear your stories about simple living. I'd love to, as well! Head to The Art of Simple for more about how you can share your story.
Podcast - If you have little ones, you simply must check out Sparkle Stories on itunes. These audio stories have long been a favorite at our house and I think your kiddos might love them, too.

Pinterest - it was a milestone week for me as I passed 10,000 followers. Thank you! I love Pinterest and it is so fun to share what I'm into over there. My most repinned post this week was this one on How to Dye Easter Eggs with Kool Aid and my newest board is Silver where I'm pinning all things grey and white hair (which, yes, is possible foreshadowing of hair changes to come. Stay tuned.)

YouTube - I have been laughing at Man vs. Pin and relating to so many of the adventures in trying out Pinterest projects, both the successes and the epic failures.

Ravelry - I added a few goodies to my queue, including A Grey Loop and Flax.

  1. Congratulations on hitting 10,000 on Pinterest. I saw your silver board the other day and was wondering if you are considering something radical (said by a lady who has been dying her greys away for the last 10 yrs)

  2. love your new glasses! :)
